This painting was presented with a Merit Award by Gerald Brommer in 2014. He stated, “I have never seen anything like this painting.  It is difficult subject matter that is tough to do: all of the paintings on the wall and the reflections on the floor.  The light in the painting, especially that on the knee, is nice.”
